As Headmaster I bid you a warm welcome as you browse our website. Glenstal is a seven-day boarding school for boys, run by the Benedictine monks of Glenstal Abbey in County Limerick, Ireland. The fact that the school is associated with a living monastic community gives it a very special flavour. Glenstal is a place where a community of monks lives and gathers several times a day to praise God and hear his word, attentive for the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We seek to allow that life of prayer to shape the life of the school too. We see ourselves as partners with parents in forming, guiding and nurturing our students, in order to develop their talents and gifts and so grow into what God has called them to be. We take justifiable pride in the excellence of the academic education, extra-curricular opportunities and pastoral care which we provide. In browsing this website, it is my hope that you will understand and appreciate the nature of our school and the type of education we provide. I hope that you like what you find here.
Pax!
