Junior House Trip To Thomond Park

image2-1On Saturday the 3rd of December, Junior House visited Thomond Park Museum and Stadium. When we arrived, we were met by our guides, John and Roesemary, and they briefly described what we would be doing. Then we got a look at the exterior of Thomond Park and we were split into two groups. One group went to the museum as the second group went into the players entrance and the home changing rooms.

image1-3Afterwards, we went through the players tunnel to the pitch where we learnt about the history of the stadium and about the historic events that have been achieved by Munster Rugby. Later we headed to the museum where there were numerous trophies, pictures and other items relating to the history of Munster rugby on display. We also had the opportunity to throw a rugby ball and try out commentating on rugby footage. It was an enoyable afternoon out for the House.

Thanks to John and Rosemary for hosting us at Thomond Park and Mr. Kieran Sparling for organising the outing.
