SCT AND PBC DRAW 22-22

The SCT were unfortunate not to beat PBC in a fantastic game in Cork Institute of Technology.

Pres opened the score with a fine try but Glenstal replied with a superb try of their own scored by Hugh Connors, following a blistering break by Andrew Boland who cut through the Pres back line.

Then it was Ian Kenny’s turn to score and again this try was set up by another Andrew Boland break.

Luke Bradley converted to leave the score at half time 12-5 to Glenstal.

Glenstal opened the scoring in the second half with an excellent opportunistic try taken by Ian Kenny. The score with 12 minutes to go was 22-8 and a huge upset looked on the cards.

However, Pres scored two trys and converted both to draw the game leaving the final score 22-22..

It was a fantastic display by a physical, brave, gutsy and astute Glenstal team who lived for periods of the game on minimal possession but who used every opportunity to the maximum. Each and every one of the players were magnificent and we are eagerly looking forward to the replay next week at which Glenstal will have the home advantage.

Date to be announced.
