Stefan Caulfield-Dreier Wins Gold Medal in Cycling

Stefan Caulfield-Dreier's All Ireland Gold medal in U16 TT was acknowledged at School Assembly this morning. Stefan's achievement was greeted with huge applause from everyone.

The Cycling Ireland Youth National Championships took place on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of August.

The Saturday began with the Time Trial which was on a lumpy 8km course. Stefan won this in 11mins averaging an astonishing 44.7 kph, making him Irish National U16 TT Champion.

Following this was the road race where Stefan finished a very credible 6th place.

The Criterium was the following day and Stefan finished 5th.

Stefan's club, the Killarney Cycling Club took the Team prizes for these events.
