Co -Curricular activities are an integral and enjoyable element of student life in Glenstal Abbey School. They contribute to a student’s holistic education instilling the Benedictine values providing an essential element of the Glenstal Abbey School experience. They foster an environment of inclusion, excellence, participation by all and build skills for life thus fully realising each student’s talents. Infrastructural facilities and qualified coaches create an environment for increased sustained participation in this unique community. Two of the strategic objectives of Co-Curricular activities are

Glenstal Abbey is situated on a 500 acre estate with streams, lakes and woodland paths, surrounding a castle built in the romantic Norman style. The stunningly beautiful woodland and parkland offer unique opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. This distinctive location allows students to explore such pursuits as orienteering, fishing on private lakes, and pitch & putt at a neighbouring course.
Sport is an important part of your son’s development and it is compulsory that he is involved in some form of physical activity. We are conscious that every child is different and hope that your son or son’s find a co-curricular activity that they will like. We believe it is important to challenge each boy to fulfil his potential and also to remain healthy and resilient for the challenges of life ahead.
